


A former catcher and corner infielder from Redmond High School. Michael is known for his high energy and love of the game. He had a great high school career in Redmond when he was an all-league first baseman as well as a unanimous 1st team all-league catcher as a Senior. He went on to play two seasons at Chemeketa Community College in Salem. Michael finished his playing career at Central Washington University when he decided to transfer to U of O.
He quickly began his coaching career at Churchill High School in Eugene. In his first three seasons as the JV coach, he lost a combined 8 games. After a head coaching change, Michael took over the Varsity program for a Summer. He was 25 at the time and his team won its first tournament in 5 years.
In 2015 he moved to Portland with his wife Emily and joined the NWDS team due to his relationship with Coach Gould from Chemeketa. Besides working at NWDS as a Coach, Michael works as an Account Manager at The Irwin-Hodson Company selling print/graphics. He currently resides in Lake Oswego, OR.
