What to choose from

Small Groups Instructional Series Clinics & Bullpens


Dates - Session 1 November 16- 3hr Clinic

               Session 1 November 17- 45 min. bullpen 
                       
Times: Session 1-  November 16- 8:30 am - 11:30 am
              Session 1- November 17- 45 min bullpen 

 

(Each player will get a 45 min bullpen. Choose a time available from the list at the time of registration)

               Session 2  December 1 - 45 min. bullpen 
                       
Times: Session 2-  November 30 - 8:30 am - 11:30 am
             Session 2- December 1- 45 min bullpen

 

(Each player will get a 45 min bullpen. Choose a time available from the list at the time of registration)

Enrollment - Only 8 pitchers per session (Total of 16 Pitchers)

Content - Each 3 hr session will feature mechanical analysis and drills, work on individual pitches and grips, command, and control.  On day two each player will receive a  45-minute “hands-on” bullpen session with either Larry Casian or Dave Dangler.

Cost - 189.00 per pitcher for session

PITCHING WITH THE PROS CLINIC SERIES

Date-January 5th

Times:  11:00 am to 2:00 pm

              3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
 

Enrollment - Only open for 20 pitchers. 

Content -Each 6-hour session will feature a comprehensive group of pitching fundamentals including mechanical analysis and drills, work on individual pitches and grips, command and control, strategy and tactics vs. hitters, the “Mental Game” pick-offs and holding baserunners, and “Recruiting”.

Cost -$250 per Session 

(Includes an hour break from 2 pm to 3 pm. Bring your own lunch)

Dave Dangler

 

Detroit Tigers NW Area Scout.

 

is a Pacific Northwest native with 25 years of college coaching experience and 17 years as a professional baseball scout for the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, Baltimore Orioles, and is currently the Pacific Northwest Supervisor for the Detroit Tigers.

 
 Dangler served as Head Coach at three different schools, Linn-Benton CC (1977-1983), Yavapai JC (1984-1994),       and Portland State University ( 1995-1998). He led LBCC to 3 NJCAA World Series appearances in 1979,1980,           and 1981 and then directed Yavapai JC to the 1993 NJCAA National Championship as well as a 3rd place trophy in 1986. He also has been the Pitching Coach at Norte Dame (2010) and the University of Washington             

(2011 - 2012). He has been named Regional Coach of the Year 5 times and was named National Coach of the Year in 1993.
 

In his professional baseball career, Dangler was named Scout of the Year in 2001 (Montreal Expos) and earned the same honor for the Florida Marlins in 2003. He also spent one season as manager of the Expos Gulf Coast League affiliate in 2001.


Dave Dangler graduated from Western Oregon University and earned a Masters degree from Portland State University. He attended Madison High School in Portland, Oregon and was a pitcher on the 1969 Contractor’s American Legion team that won the National Championship.

 

      He is a member of the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame, and has also been inducted into the NWACC Hall of Fame, as well as the NJCAA Hall of Fame.

San Francisco Giants NW Area Scout

 

 

Larry Casian enters his 16th season in professional baseball and his fourth season with the San Francisco Giants, currently serving as an Area Scout covering the Pacific Northwest.  Larry signed originally with the Twins in the 6th round in 1987 and played 12 years with the Twins, Indians, Cubs, Royals, and White Sox organizations.

 

He posted a career record of 11-13 with an earned run average of 4.56 in 240 innings.  His best year as a pro came as a Twin in 1993 when he went 5-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 54 appearances.  That season he was voted Minnesota’s Comeback Player of the Year.​

In the minor leagues, Casian was an AAA All-Star with the Portland Beavers in 1991.  In 1988, he was named Minnesota’s AA Player of the Year and was named to the AA All-Star team.

 

In three years at Cal State Fullerton, Casian posted 17-5 record with three saves and 3.17 ERA. He struck out 195 in 218 career innings and pitched 10 complete games.  In 1987, he was a Second Team All-American, First Team All-West Region and was named the Pacific Coast Athletic Association’s Player of the Year after going 11-1 with a save and 2.54 ERA.  He pitched 8 complete games in 14 starts, struck out 118 in 120 innings and was 7-0 in league contests.  In 1986, Casian hurled a one-hitter against UC Irvine and was a First Team ALL-PCAA selection.

 

Larry was hired as the Pitching Coach at the University of Portland in September of 2006.  During his nine year tenure at UP, he developed 10 pitchers who were selected in the Major League Baseball draft.  In 2010, the Pilots posted a team ERA of 3.42 while allowing just 2.89 BB/9 IP. The Pilots ERA was the fifth best in the nation and the walks per game ranked 16th. Portland also allowed 8.71 hits per game, 12th lowest mark in the nation.

Larry started his coaching career at Corban College in Salem, Oregon from 1999-2005, he took over head coaching duties for the Warriors prior to the 2005 season.
